I’m so excited to blog (again) that I don’t know what to blog and where to begin. Haha.
I’m having my Sabbath today. I really need to force myself to rest or else I will not be able to finish the race with the kind of schedule that I have.
Today. I slept a little longer. I cleaned my room and part of the house. I played with my niece. I had a looong afternoon nap. I wrote in my journal that which I had planned to write a long time ago. I prayed, specific prayers. And now, I’m blogging. Later, I hope to do some scrapbooking.
The Lord is really gracious to teach me to stop and rest so as not to squeeze all my strength and find myself a burnout.
Rest gives you that time to meditate the things that happened during the week and have a sort of inventory of blessings. It also makes you see those things that needs to be settled or changed or surrendered.
Even the Lord rested. And in those times of rest, He stayed and fellowshipped with the Father. And I know that that is the secret of Christ’s ministry and him getting to the finish line.
Those stops. Important stops.
It’s not easy to stop. Especially when you see that there are a lot of things to be done. Rest also brings you to that humble attitude to accept that you are not a hero and that you cannot do everything.
The Lord’s purposes will happen, it is already established. So make sure that you are READY when he needs you. Don’t stress yourself to the things that He is not requiring you to do. Because you’ll never know when the King will be needing you to be His vessel to show forth His glory.
Rest.
