Finally, after three long years of waiting, this day has finally arrived. I’m now attending bible school! Wohoo!
Just like the interview, I planned to prepare for the day, but didn’t get the chance. PD’s right, attending bible school is just coming there as you are. No drama, no frills, no pretentions.
You attend bible school because you want to learn and be changed that’s what my teacher said this morning. If you feel you are qualified, you know your call and you feel you are already chosen, then don’t attend bibleschool. You don’t need it anymore.
And bible school is not getting the degree or license to minister. It’s all about knowing the Lord and giving Him the license to change you in the vessel that He wants you to be.
First day is Wonderful. Worship was heavenly. The two prophecies were very much encouraging and uplifting for all of us. The lesson for the week is superb. Assignment and Exam, of course, challenging. I need to do some mental work out for the memory verse quiz on friday. (I’m not actually required to take it, since I’m a walk-in-with-job-student, but I’ll probably be taking the quiz, since I know I need to work on memorizing the scriptures. )
Awesome feeling of going back to school, bringing nice flowered notebooks and pens. (Ate P reminded me that it’s bible school and not all-girls-school, after hearing that I bought a pack of glittered gel pens.
)
Smiling to your new (local and foreign) classmates. Greeting the teachers. Savoring the view. And taking pictures. Beating the cut-off time before the gates are closed. Enjoying every second of my first day high.
The Lord is good and faithful to fulfill His promise. And His timing is perfect.
As I start this journey (my teacher call it signing up to the army), I know that He will bring me from strength to strength. His grace and favor will abound. Pray for me friends as I start this new chapter.:)
Blessed are those whose strength is in you,
who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.As they pass through the Valley of Baca,
they make it a place of springs;
the autumn rains also cover it with pools. [b]They go from strength to strength,
till each appears before God in Zion. Psalm 84:5-7
