The Constant Reminder for Christian Ladies (applies to Men too)

Posted by: soughtafter on: June 29, 2009

Ate A and I were conversing about the email I sent to the group.  She said that it came right at the time that she needed THE reminder. I told her to hush-hush because the worship team was closing in prayer and PD might hear our conversation.

After the Amen, PD started playing the bridal march. And again, the group started teasing Ate A. We looked at each other and asked if PD actually heard us.

The conversation continued at the Sportcenter. We went around the oval 3 times, with lots of stories in between the laps.

The next day, the preaching was about Christ’s Obedience to the Father. And somewhere in the middle of Point number two, which was about the perfect yielding of Christ to God’s ways, PD addressed the young ladies (he calls us mga dalaga) to WAIT, WAIT, and WAIT for the RIGHT PERSON. He gave us the encouragements as well as the warnings.

Ate A and I were shocked because  (again) we thought that PD overheard our conversation at the oval. PD hit the points. Bull’s eye.

But wait there’s more, the next day, we attended a church anniversary. This time, PE was explaining about the crucified life and circumcision of the heart. And in the middle of his anointed preaching, he called the attention of the young people to marry the right person with the same vision.

Strike three! And almost everyone in the group had this on their faces: Yes Lord, message received. clear. very clear.

And PD was smiling at us, almost like a victory smile. Hihi. :)

It’s really a blessing to be under the covering of our spiritual authorities who cares so much to remind us about this important matter. ALL THE TIME.

1. Not to be yoked with someone who doesn’t want to carry the yoke of Christ. (It’s very clear. DO NOT MARRY AN UNBELIEVER. Fear God.)

2. Marry the person with the same vision. (Amos 3:3)

3. Marry the person who will be your partner in fulfilling God’s call.

I know, these standards just made the list even slimmer. If not erasing all the ‘prospects’. Believe me, I know the feeling. (Of erasing and being erased).

But if God set this standards, then I believe (even more) that He can fulfill the promise of securing a marriage that will glorify His name.

Please allow me to repeat this, DO NOT MARRY AN UNBELIEVER. Fear God.

So you wanna know what my discipler has to say about this? She sent us an email today and gave us a picture of what to do during the WAIT-WAIT- WAIT-period.  (And I mean literal picture)

His will. His way. His time.

Relax.
