Changing Seasons

Posted by: soughtafter on: June 3, 2009

I just got my self a cup of hot latte from the pantry. My eyes are heavy. Must be the cold rain weather. 240520091514

Changing seasons. Waving good bye to the smiles of summer and saying hello to the tip-ti-tap dance of the rainy season. Summer was great. I had 3 beach outings and 5 pool outings. My skin is tanned (almost unrecognizable by peers). One churchmate thought that she was having eye problems because I was a little ‘dark’ when she saw me. Haha. Well. That’s what I got from going out almost every weekend the whole summer.

And now, as the tip-ti-tap dancing rain comes, I am also welcoming a whole new season in my life. New assignment at home. Nanay is flying to Canada tom, so I’m left with the task to be IN CHARGE. Whatever that means. Budgeting, cleaning and laundrying?  (As david said in his psalm, “I do not want to concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me” Psalm 131:1)

Laundry. Laundry. It’s really too wonderful to think. I am lifting that concern to the Lord. Maybe He saw that I am ready to face this assignment.

Honestly, aside for the tasks ahead, I am more excited in this rare opportunity of bonding with my father. I’m glad (and really am thankful) that God is giving me the season to redeem whatever was lost in the past or was not yet given. It’s time to catch up and make the most of the time with Tatay. And I think we will start with the getting-to-know-you-part. A Father-Daughter Bonding in a Young Adult-Senior Citizen setting. Hmm. Interesting.

Changing seasons. Have been experiencing a lot of answered prayers and fulfilled promises lately. (And more to come I must say.) This will be another season for my spirtual walk. I will be climbing up to the mountain as I heard His call…”Come up Higher!”. Finally, I’m going up to Zion…a student again this coming August. Excited to sit again and listen. To be still and worship. And just to be soaked, refreshed and be in Him.

It’s cold here. Latte was good, kept me warm the whole time I was typing this entry. And my heart is full of joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart and praises and thanksgiving for His blessing of rain, of answers and of new seasons…

…and a lot more  of changing seasons.
